About The Position

This role involves working collaboratively with field specialists and store teams to execute sales plans for the Corporate Meat/Seafood Merchandising strategies. The merchandiser will spend the majority of their time in stores to ensure strategies are executed with excellence, addressing issues that affect customer expectations for shopping ease, variety, freshness, cleanliness, and food safety. A key part of the role is coaching and developing direct reports and store teams to achieve company goals and strategies, while maintaining a pipeline of qualified individuals. The position also requires demonstrating the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Execute the Corporate Meat/Seafood Merchandising strategies and plans for respective division.
• Ensure execution of and establish store accountabilities for sales plans for the Meat Department through frequent and timely store visits.
• Encourage valuable feedback from store leadership, field specialist, and associates that provide opportunities to increase sales, profits.
• Spend majority of time in stores to ensure Merchandising strategies and plan are executed with excellence.
• Address issues that hinder stores' ability to meet/exceed customers' expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, regulatory and food safety.
• Coach and develop direct reports, and store teams to achieve and execute all goals and company strategies and maintain a supply of qualified, promotable individuals.
