About The Position

Kalan, a third-generation consumer products company, is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to maintain product displays at assigned retail locations. This independent contractor role involves short assignments, typically about two visits per month, increasing to weekly during the holiday season. Hours are flexible, and compensation is a flat rate per visit. Work is performed in person at assigned stores.

Requirements

Be reliable, professional, and punctual, and work independently.
Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Be comfortable using a smartphone or tablet with internet access for reporting.
Be able to follow written instructions and communicate by email or phone.
Be at least 18 years of age.
Be able to regularly lift 40 pounds and reach, bend, crouch, kneel, push, pull, and walk.
Be able to stand for several hours at a time.

Merchandising or retail experience.

Responsibilities

Merchandise and display products at the assigned store within five days of shipment arrival.
Use a planogram to organize and refresh product displays.
Remove damaged or discontinued items.
Take date-stamped photos of completed work and upload them through the reporting system.
Submit an invoice by email after each completed visit.
