About The Position

National Star Services, a 28-year-old facility management company providing services nationwide, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Protein Processing Specialist for a client facility in Chicago, Illinois. This is a full-time temp-to-hire position involving hands-on protein processing in a cold environment. The role requires physical work, including standing for extended periods, lifting, and working with knives and/or saws.

The position pays $20.00 per hour, with biweekly pay. The schedule is Monday through Friday on the first shift, from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Overtime is available.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Be authorized to lawfully work in the United States.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Be willing to undergo a background check.
• Be available to start as soon as possible.
• Have strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions.
• Be able to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
• Be able to remain standing and active for extended periods.
• Be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 40°F.
• Be comfortable working with knives and/or saws as required for protein processing.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily protein processing, which may include knife and saw work.
• Follow customer requirements for cuts, portions, and packaging.
• Pick, check, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and adequate inventory levels.
• Ensure products meet quality and customer specifications through attention to detail.
• Operate processing equipment safely and properly.
• Clean and maintain processing equipment daily.
• Follow workplace safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Perform other warehouse and processing duties as assigned.
