About The Position

National Star Services, a 28-year-old facility management company providing services nationwide, is seeking a reliable and hardworking Protein Processing Specialist for a client facility in Chicago, Illinois. This full-time, temp-to-hire position involves physical, hands-on protein processing in a cold environment. The role pays $20.00 per hour, with biweekly pay. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with overtime available.

Requirements

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
• Must be authorized to lawfully work in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check.
• Must be available to start as soon as possible.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds continuously throughout the workday.
• Must be able to remain standing and active for extended periods.
• Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from 0°F to 40°F.
• Must be comfortable working with knives and/or saws as required for protein processing.

Nice To Haves

• Previous food processing, meat processing, warehouse, or similar experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily protein processing, which may include knife and saw work.
• Follow customer requirements for cuts, portions, and packaging.
• Pick, check, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and adequate inventory levels.
• Ensure products meet quality and customer specifications.
• Operate processing equipment safely and properly.
• Clean and maintain processing equipment daily.
• Follow workplace safety, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Perform other warehouse and processing duties as assigned.
