Requirements

Ability to multitask or regularly adjust work focus while working with different meat products.
Availability between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., with flexible weekend availability.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Responsibilities

Cut, wrap, and display meat and poultry products according to company specifications.
Prepare specialty items such as sausage, patties, and kabobs.
Tie meat cuts by hand to form roasts.
Write orders or describe available specialty products, such as Thanksgiving turkeys.
Clean the department, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, and keep products and supplies organized.
Operate equipment when needed, if over 18 years of age.
Operate the price scale and use current prices; price merchandise or change price tags using the price list and coordinating with the scan department.
Receive, open, and unpack merchandise cartons and crates, check invoices against received items, and promptly clear restocking equipment and debris from the floor.
Rotate products according to departmental guidelines.
Set up advertising signs and display merchandise to attract customers and promote sales.
Take and process customer orders, ensuring products are ready on time.
Take inventory or examine merchandise regularly to identify items that need reordering or replenishment.
Work with multiple meat products simultaneously and adjust focus as needed.
