This role involves assisting customers and other staff, as well as processing bulk meat for sale. The Meat Cutter will inspect meat products for freshness, face merchandise in the department, and operate various meat processing equipment such as slicers, grinders, saws, and sausage stuffers. The position requires the use of a variety of knives and involves working in an environment with an average temperature of 34°F. Additional duties include climbing ladders or stair towers to reach stock, preparing items for wrapping, stacking pallets, receiving shipments, assisting customers, stocking and rotating product, and answering calls.
