We invite applications for the position of Part-Time Meat Cutter to join our Hawkstone Food Store team located in Edmonton, AB. This position will be temporary. Open availability is an asset. Requirements

  • 1-2 years of previous meat cutting experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs consistently
  • Must be able to work with all types of meat and meat products
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous retail experience, meat department would be an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers in the Meat Department
  • Receive, inspect and store meat upon delivery
  • Cut, trim, debone and grind pieces of meat
  • Wrap, label and package prepared meats
  • Ensure proper rotation is fresh and full at all times
  • Facing, filling and organizing of all product items
  • Disassemble and assemble all machines in department for thorough cleaning
  • Other housecleaning duties
