About The Position
North Central Co-op is seeking a part-time Deli Clerk to join their team at the Orchards Food Store in Edmonton, AB. This position is with a member-owned, sustainable organization that focuses on initiatives benefiting local communities. The co-op serves Western Canadians and reinvests profits into communities, focusing on sustainable growth. The Deli Clerk will provide customer service at the deli counter, package and label products, maintain product displays, monitor equipment, and perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Enthusiastic approach to work
- Efficient and accurate when working in a busy environment
- Ability to handle all deli meats and products
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail experience preferred
- Open availability is an asset
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, friendly and knowledgeable service to customers at the Deli Counter
- Package, wrap, and label prepared foods, meats, cheeses and other deli items
- Maintain a display of deli products ensuring facing, filling and organization of products meets company standards
- Monitor case temperature, clean equipment and workspaces
- Other duties as required
