About The Position

Festival Foods is hiring a Meat Clerk in Verona, Wisconsin. The role provides service at the meat and seafood counter and on the sales floor, helping guests choose products, answering questions, and fulfilling special orders. The Meat Clerk maintains fresh, well-stocked displays by inspecting, rotating, and replenishing products and supplies, while helping the department operate smoothly and follow food safety standards. The position serves Festival Foods’ meat and seafood selection, including Certified Angus Beef® and sustainable seafood. Availability until 9 PM and on weekends is required. The schedule may vary and include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with guests, leaders, and retail sales associates.
• Ability to work with a crew in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and maintaining a customer-service focus.
• Willingness to learn food safety standards, proper equipment usage, and inventory practices.
• Understanding of safety and food safety practices and commitment to following them.
• Availability until 9 PM and on weekends.
• Ability to complete required training and learn procedures for equipment and practices such as slicers, proper lifting, a trash compactor, and a baler.

Responsibilities

• Provide guest service at the meat counter and on the sales floor, answer product questions, and fulfill special orders.
• Inspect, rotate, and replenish meat products and supplies to maintain fresh, well-stocked displays.
• Attend work regularly and on time in accordance with the schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
• Collaborate with the team and perform other duties as assigned.
• Follow food safety and safety practices, including procedures for equipment use and proper lifting.
