About The Position

Raley's is hiring a Meat Team Member to carry out day-to-day operations in the Meat and Seafood departments and provide customers with a memorable experience. The role primarily supports the Meat Department, but may involve working in other departments as needed. The team member is expected to be responsible, friendly, ready to learn, attentive to food safety and sanitation, and able to work safely in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent customer service. The position includes stocking, production, merchandising, and quality control. The posting notes that an employee may be asked to accept a part-time position if that is the only position available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Be friendly and customer-service oriented.
• Be self-motivated and attentive to detail, quality, and presentation.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Work independently, manage time effectively, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Read, understand, and follow verbal and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide memorable customer service during daily customer interactions.
• Prepare and package raw meat and seafood.
• Share food knowledge with customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow food safety, safety, and sanitation practices throughout the department.
• Perform day-to-day production, merchandising, and quality control of department offerings.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise department products.
• Work in other departments as needed.
