About The Position

Healthy Living is opening a new store in Clifton Park and is seeking a Meat Associate for the Meat & Seafood team! Join a dynamic, fun team in our Meat/Seafood Department. You will learn a ton about the great, sustainable products we carry and you'll interact with Guests who appreciate what we do...which is source and curate the best in local meats and clean, unprocessed sea food.

Requirements

• Previous kitchen/customer service experience is preferred.
• Individuals should also have a proven ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Wrap, weigh, label, date and rotate all product per department protocol
• Ensures that all items (meat and seafood) in back stock are properly placed in the cases or on shelves
• Oversees daily merchandising and product maintenance; makes sure shelves are fully stocked, organized, clean and that product has proper representation/facing on shelves; ensures all product is pulled to the front of the shelves and has an organized appearance
• Follows all established procedures and task lists to meticulously clean the department at end of the shift
• Meat & Seafood Counter staff takes great pride in the work that they do, ensuring that our quality cuts of meat and delicious house made products are attractively merchandised and that our shelve are always abundantly stocked, clean and organized.
• Ensures that product is always rotated, labeled and weighed properly always keeping all the finer details in mind.
• Provides guests their full and immediate attention.
• Guests will be promptly and genuinely cared for when they approach the Meat &Seafood Counter and will be met by a passionate and knowledgeable staff member.
• Working CLEAN will be of paramount importance with Health Department standards always being kept in mind.
• A great attention to detail will be taken in all aspects of the job and it will be apparent to the Manager, the Guests, and the Owners.
• You must love helping guests as a big part of our day is invested in interacting with guests and providing exceptional hospitality.
• You will be the face of the department and be required to educate guests on our local meats, answer recipe questions and provide cooking tips to guests.
