About The Position

This role involves developing and implementing measurement solutions, requiring a strong foundation in programming, image processing, and data analysis. The engineer will work with various technologies to support manufacturing and product quality, interacting with customers and coworkers while working independently.

Requirements

BS degree required.
Programming ability (C# & Python strongly preferred).
Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and other software architecture concepts.
Knowledge of image processing algorithms (blob analysis, edge finding, morphology, feature extraction, classification, metrology).
Data retrieval, plotting and analysis skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills (MS Office programs).
Ability to interact effectively with customers & coworkers as well as work independently.
Results oriented, a quick learner and able to multi-task effectively.

Nice To Haves

Prefer advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, EE, ECE or Optics.
Experience with image processing development packages such as Halcon or OpenCV.
Ability to train CNNs and utilize traditional machine learning methods.
Knowledge of statistical analysis approaches and MEE concepts.
Ability to interface with Database Management Systems.
Experience with Metrology, Inspection and Product Quality in support of manufacturing.
Optical measurements system development (optics, lighting, cameras, image acquisition, image analysis, laser, 3D measurement).
Fundamental knowledge of physical optics (principles of optics).

Responsibilities

Develop and implement measurement solutions.
Support manufacturing and product quality through metrology and inspection.
Develop optical measurement systems, including optics, lighting, cameras, image acquisition, image analysis, laser, and 3D measurement.
Interface with Database Management Systems.
Train CNNs and utilize traditional machine learning methods.
Conduct data retrieval, plotting, and analysis.
Communicate and present findings effectively using MS Office programs.
Interact effectively with customers and coworkers.
Work independently.
Be results-oriented, a quick learner, and able to multi-task effectively.
