About The Position

Seeking flooring estimators (measure technicians) to measure flooring installations in their area. This is a 1099 subcontractor contract position and is not remote. Technicians travel to customers’ homes, listen to their needs, inspect job sites, create digital floor diagrams, take photographs, and prepare notes for the quoting process. The role does not involve selling. The company provides job assignments, a tablet, and two weeks of training. Pay is weekly and per measure.

Math proficiency.
Attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain personal vehicle insurance.
Reliable transportation.
Smartphone (not a flip phone) and basic computer and tablet skills.
Ability to pass a background check.
Availability to see customers in their homes Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening and weekend availability also required.

Nice To Haves

Construction experience preferred; flooring knowledge is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Listen to customers’ needs and expectations.

Travel to job sites, potentially up to an hour or more each way, with travel limited to no more than two hours one way.
