About The Position

KHS&S Contractors is hiring an Estimator/PM for a construction subcontractor. The role focuses on estimating Metal Stud, Drywall, Stucco, and Plaster scopes, with exposure to Theme Construction estimating considered a plus. The Estimator/PM works independently to perform quantity take-offs, estimate labor, material, and equipment costs, complete bid packages, and prepare proposal letters. The position also involves communicating with subcontractors and suppliers to develop scopes of work and compute pricing, maintaining project files and folders, and possibly helping maintain estimating software databases, processes, and procedures. The position offers a private office in a comfortable office building with coffee, water, and other amenities. The work involves challenging projects, opportunities to learn current technology, and interaction with customers in the hospitality, entertainment, and medical industries. Requirements

Estimating skills specific to Metal Stud, Drywall, Stucco, and Plaster scopes.
Experience with Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Word.
At least 3 years of related experience is preferred.
A Bachelor of Science in Building Construction is preferred.

Nice To Haves

Exposure to Theme Construction estimating.
User experience with On Center Software (Quick Bid).
At least 3 years of related experience.
A Bachelor of Science in Building Construction.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate quantity take-offs independently, with little or no assistance.
Develop cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
Complete bid packages and prepare proposal letters.
Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to develop scopes of work and compute pricing.
Create and maintain project files and folders.
Possibly assist in creating and maintaining estimating software databases, processes, and procedures.
