About The Position

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is a social service organization serving children, youth and families, people with disabilities, older adults, and military veterans. The Food Transport Worker transports bulk food from a central kitchen to designated satellite sites in accordance with Minnesota Department of Health food handling regulations. The worker loads and unloads bulk food containers at satellite sites and returns empty containers to the central kitchen. The role offers no weekends or holidays and supports the local community.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Acceptable driving record and successful Motor Vehicle Records Check (MVR).
• Ability to deliver food and drive in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to follow proper lifting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Transport bulk food from a central kitchen to designated satellite site(s), following Minnesota Department of Health food handling regulations.
• Load and unload bulk food containers at satellite sites and upon completion of deliveries.
• Return empty food containers to the central kitchen.
