About The Position

Springwell is hiring a part-time Meals on Wheels Driver for a route located in Ashland. Drivers deliver nutritious meals and provide a daily wellness check to older adults experiencing hunger and isolation. The role combines time driving alone in the employee’s own car with opportunities to connect with seniors. The position pays $18.00 per hour, with mileage reimbursement. Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Have a reliable car.
• Have a current driver's license.
• Have a safe driving record.
• Be able to lift 25 pounds.
• Have excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with older adults.
• Be comfortable with or have working knowledge of computer applications, including email and data entry.

Nice To Haves

• Some experience with technology such as an iPad or iPhone.
• Some experience working with older adults.
• Knowledge of the geographic area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nutritious meals to older adults on the assigned Ashland route.
• Provide a daily wellness check to meal recipients.
• Interact with older adults and provide friendly, customer-focused service.
