About The Position

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination and completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the interdisciplinary care planning process while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, preferably BSN.
  • Minimum of one year in nursing management in the long-term industry.
  • Two years of professional nursing experience in long-term care, acute care, restorative care or geriatric nursing setting.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and the interdisciplinary care planning process.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Develop plans of care that are consistent with the resident’s needs.
  • Lead and motivate others to follow RAI processes in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Promote communication and interdisciplinary approaches to resident care.
  • Create a comforting and engaging atmosphere for residents.
