About The Position

Responsible for completing MDS assessments and care plans for nursing home residents from admission through discharge. Supports the daily organization and management of the MDS office to ensure timely completion of regulatory requirements related to the resident assessment process. Screens potential residents before admission and assists with discharge planning. Completes other duties as directed by the Assessment Nurse Manager, participates in and leads quality assurance and improvement teams, and participates in call rotations.

Requirements

• Current RN or LPN license to practice in North Carolina, or a multi-state (compact) license.
• Supervisory experience.
• Excellent assessment skills.
• Knowledge of long-term care MDS and care-planning processes and regulatory requirements.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional interpersonal and teaching skills.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to type.
• Organized and detail-focused.
• BLS required.
