About The Position

Oversees a team of cross functional business leaders responsible for leading global clearance programs, implementation of new processes and technology to support the network and operations teams, and best practices to enhance Global Clearance processes, reduce costs, improve quality and optimize performance globally.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field required. Related experience may offset degree requirements and related education/degree may offset experience requirements.
  • Eight (8) years' experience in managing large corporate projects, planning and support functions, or operations, with five (5) of those years in management required.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role with demonstrated success in driving business and/or network transformation initiatives.
  • International experience required.
  • Proficient in business modeling, process optimization and/or driving operational excellence.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with demonstrated problem-solving and decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Plans organizes, directs, and controls all aspects of global clearance programs and processes to achieve service, goals and objectives.
  • Provides management to international planning and engineering groups participating in and leading global projects and programs in support of clearance.
  • Acts as the business liaison to IT, regulatory and operations for support of international clearance systems that integrate into the global air-ground distribution networks, regulatory and partner agencies.
  • Provides program management and change management support for international clearance, commercial services and network initiatives.
  • Selects trains and develops a staff of managers and employees.
  • As part of the Officer and Director Team, participates as a key business partner in the creation, development and executions of the company vision, strategies, business plans, initiatives, and programs and in making key business decisions.
  • Directs and provides oversight and planning for global consolidated data entry operations, including vendor evaluation and selections, vendor management, contract administration and budgeting.
  • Provides PMO leadership over the global clearance domain initiatives and clearance strategies, enabling a lower cost to serve, increased revenue while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Coordinates Americas clearance initiatives supporting commercial and One FedEx strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
