About The Position

Kaplan is hiring MCAT test-preparation instructors for its regional teaching team based in Philadelphia. Instructors travel to locations across the area—including Villanova, the University of Pittsburgh, Temple University, and the University of Pennsylvania—to teach in-person MCAT preparation classes and help students prepare for medical school admissions. The position uses a pre-existing curriculum and offers paid training and ongoing professional development to strengthen teaching, presentation, and mentoring skills. Instructors may complete training and class preparation remotely from home and connect with colleagues remotely. The schedule is flexible and part-time, with potential for additional part-time work depending on business needs and qualification requirements. Travel costs directly associated with the role are paid by Kaplan.

Requirements

• Score above 515 on the MCAT.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be able to work independently with a remote manager.

• Be available for travel; lead time, locations, and dates are determined by business needs and availability.

Responsibilities

• Teach in-person MCAT preparation sessions at regional locations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver MCAT preparation or other educational content tailored to student needs.
• Use teaching methods and a curated curriculum to prepare students for the MCAT.
• Support students in and out of class, helping them apply critical thinking to problems across the sciences.
• Participate in professional training, coaching, and development.
• Travel to assigned locations based on business needs and availability.
