About The Position
This position involves laying in and rolling of various fiberglass materials (chop/mat, biaxial, woven, and foam) into decks, hulls, and liners. The role requires applying sheets of fiberglass and liquid resin to boat molds, smoothing them out with brushes and rollers, and ensuring the proper application and finishing of all products.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand instructions.
- Ability to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns.
- Ability to speak conversational English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products.
- Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
Nice To Haves
- GED or equivalent preferred.
- Previous lamination experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reports to work on time for designated shift.
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
- Sprays fiberglass and/or lays sheets of fiberglass on part mold.
- Cuts and trims material to fit part using scissors and knife.
- Uses resin gun to wet out part.
- Air rolls part using air roller to remove air bubbles from part.
- Maintains wet out system, cleans tools, and disposes of chemicals in proper areas.
- Responsible for clean and orderly workstation.
- Move parts from station to station.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
