About The Position
This position involves laying in and rolling of various fiberglass materials (chop/mat, biaxial, woven, and foam) into decks, hulls, and liners. The role requires applying sheets of fiberglass and liquid resin to boat molds, and smoothing these materials with brushes and rollers.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand instructions.
- Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns.
- Ability to speak conversational English.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products.
- Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.
Nice To Haves
- GED or equivalent preferred.
- Previous lamination experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reports to work on time for designated shift.
- Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
- Sprays fiberglass and/or lays sheets of fiberglass on part mold.
- Cuts and trims material to fit part using scissors and knife.
- Uses resin gun to wet out part.
- Air rolls part using air roller to remove air bubbles from part.
- Maintains wet out system, cleans tools, and disposes of chemicals in proper areas.
- Responsible for clean and orderly workstation.
- Move parts from station to station.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
