About The Position

This position involves drilling holes in various boat components such as decks, hulls, liners, fenders, and seats, as well as grinding away excess fiberglass to ensure proper fit during assembly. The role also includes grinding the lip off all liners and transporting finished parts to the rigging area for assembly or to Quality Assurance.

Requirements

Must be able to read and understand instructions.
Must be able to use various hand tools, including grinder, drill and saw.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
Must have effective eyesight.
Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns.
Ability to speak conversational English.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products.
Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.

Nice To Haves

Previous grinding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Drills holes in decks, hulls, liners, fenders, seats, and small parts.
Grinds away excess fiberglass so that parts fit together during assembly.
Grinds lip off all liners.
Transports finished parts to rigging.
Drills holes in decks, hulls and liners so that boats can be rigged.
Cuts excess fiberglass away so that all parts fit together when boats are rigged.
Checks to see if deck and hull fit.
Transports hulls to rigging for assembly (Glass I).
Transports parts to QA (Glass II).
Performs related duties as assigned.
