About The Position

Perform a variety of functions in the assembly of boats.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Must be able to use power tools and related assembly equipment.
• Must be able to read and understand instructions in assembly operations.
• Must be knowledgeable of safety procedures and requirements.
• Ability to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns.
• Ability to speak conversational English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products.
• Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, review and follow instructions for rigging of each boat.
• Perform drilling operations.
• Use caulk gun to create water tight seals.
• Assemble and install parts and components including: decks to hulls, windshields, dashes, trim, side moldings, fins, rudders, gas tanks, batteries, wiring, steering, control, engine setting, aligning, mounting and component hookups.
• Vacuum carpets, install seat cushions and use appropriate cleaners on upholstery, deck and dashes of boat.
• Apply appropriate decals to boats.
• Use a variety of equipment and materials such as small hand tools, screw gun, glue, knives, hoist, jigs, fixtures, and fasteners in assembly operations.
• Push deck and hull approximately 100 feet to next work station.
• Ensure quality in assembly operations.
• Move material to and from workstations and maintain clean and orderly work station.
• Report to work on time for designated shift.
• Adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
• Work cooperatively with co-workers.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
