About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to administer the full lifecycle of medical and behavioral health waiver submissions for military service members. This position manages waiver packet creation, documentation uploads, appeals processing, and the forwarding of approved waiver packages through higher headquarters for final approval. The ideal candidate will have experience with DoD waiver processes, a methodical approach to documentation management, and the ability to independently move multiple waiver packets through a multi-step approval process simultaneously. Telework is not authorized.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizen
  • Experience with DoD medical and/or behavioral health waiver processes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI / Public Trust Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately assemble and track waiver documentation packages through a multi-step approval process
  • Ability to work independently on high-volume daily administrative tasks under government oversight
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook/Exchange, Teams, SharePoint
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, meet deadlines, and control sensitive and confidential information

Nice To Haves

  • Prior military service or direct experience supporting the National Guard or Army Reserve
  • Currently active DoD Common Access Card (CAC) and/or existing favorable security clearance — candidates holding an active Secret clearance or higher fully meet and exceed the minimum requirement
  • Experience supporting DoD medical program administration in a military or government contracting environment
  • Familiarity with multiple DoD medical database and administrative systems
  • Prior direct experience with the Medical Action Tracking System (MATS)
  • Familiarity with National Guard Bureau waiver submission processes and Pentagon-level approval workflows
  • Experience creating Officer Candidate School or Warrant Officer Candidate administrative packets in a military setting
  • Knowledge of Army medical and behavioral health fitness standards and waiver eligibility criteria

Responsibilities

  • Use the Medical Action Tracking System (MATS) to submit medical and behavioral health waivers for service members
  • Create Officer Candidate School and Warrant Officer Candidate waiver packets in MATS
  • Upload required waiver documentation into MATS; process appeals per government recommendation and approval when additional documents are requested by higher headquarters
  • When a waiver is predetermined to be approved, forward the completed waiver packet to the appropriate headquarters for inclusion in the submission package for final approval
