About The Position

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking two full-time Mathematics FT Faculty CFS Professorial members. This position is classified as CFS Professorial Faculty. The role involves a balance of teaching, research, and service, with 40% of the time dedicated to teaching, 40% to research, and 20% to service. A typical teaching assignment is 4 courses per academic year, primarily in the Fall and Winter semesters, covering both graduate and undergraduate levels. Responsibilities include conducting independent research, publishing findings, presenting at conferences, and mentoring students at all academic levels. Faculty members are also expected to contribute to departmental and university service, supporting the overall mission of the institution. Applicants must submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, at least four letters of recommendation (one addressing teaching ability), a research statement, and a teaching statement. BYU also requires applicants to use its Workday application system. This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment. Additionally, all new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints must hold a current temple recommend, and all faculty are required to abide by the university’s Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards. Preference is given to qualified candidates who are members in good standing of the affiliated church.
