Math Corps is hiring Math Tutors to support elementary students in developing their math skills and confidence. Tutors work at a local school and receive training and ongoing coaching to deliver proven tutoring activities; prior expertise in math is not required. On each school day, tutors work with groups of up to three students for 20–30 minutes at a time, following a schedule until all assigned students have been served. Tutors encourage students, celebrate their progress, and coordinate with the school's onsite coach. Positions are available for the 2026–27 school year, running from August 2026 through June 2027. The schedule is generally 35 hours per week, with reduced hours during weeks with holidays or school release days. Part-time positions of 25 and 15 hours per week are also available. Hours are during the school day, Monday through Friday, with no weekends. AmeriCorps members have a total service-hour commitment and may occasionally complete approved service or training outside the school day as needed. Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a stipend of $17.50 per hour served, paid every two weeks, along with benefits and education-related support.
