About The Position

St. Luke’s School, a secular, college-preparatory day school serving grades 5 through 12, seeks a Math Tutor for its on-campus Math Tutoring program. This program matches students needing additional support in their SLS math classes with a tutor for sessions during the school day. The program typically supports students from middle school math through Algebra II. Tutors generally meet with 2-3 students per day, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Math teacher or tutor
• Interest and experience in working with adolescents
• Bachelors degree in Mathematics or related field

Responsibilities

• Provide review and reteaching of material that students may have learned before but have not retained fully
• Provide extra help for students with homework and quiz/test preparation
• Document each tutoring session in a Google doc shared with the student’s SLS Math Teacher
• Communicate with parents as needed
