About The Position

GradePower Learning Frisco West is seeking a part-time High School Math Teacher-Tutor who is motivated by mathematics, excited by equations, and eager to help students succeed. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with students, enjoy numbers and equations, and are passionate about helping others build their skills. The position offers a rewarding teaching environment where lesson planning is not required as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will receive full training in the company's proprietary philosophy and methods. The role involves teaching up to 3 students at a time, both online and in-person, following GradePower Learning methodologies, filling in post-lesson notes, completing daily student communication updates, and maintaining a friendly and professional manner. This position plays a key role in helping students develop self-confidence and self-esteem by overcoming academic hurdles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Strong knowledge of the current 9th to 12th grade math curriculum, including, but not limited to, advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, and vectors.
• Some experience teaching/tutoring math at a 9th to 12th grade (or equivalent) level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding
• Ability to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a time
• Must be able to commute to the Frisco West location
• Background check is mandatory
