About The Position
The Math Tutor is responsible for providing academic support to individual students or small groups of students to help them succeed. Assists the teacher in providing a well-organized, smoothly functioning class environment in which students can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong skills and concepts in mathematics.
- Experience with developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based teaching and learning.
- Instructional technology skills.
Nice To Haves
- Valid Connecticut State Department of Education Certification in Elementary Education, Special Education or Mathematics (029, 229).
- Knowledge of differentiation for high-achieving and struggling learners.
- Experience with Scientific Research-Based Intervention (MTSS).
