About The Position

Teach Middle School Math Classes. The Math Teacher will plan, organize, and implement an excellent learning environment that guides and encourages students to meet their educational potential. At FUSD, teaching and learning is centered on students’ diverse needs while ensuring a high level of student achievement. Requirements

Valid AZ Certificate Secondary Education 7-12 OR AZ Elementary Certificate 1-8 OR K-8 AND Approved Area Math
Structured English Immersion (SEI) endorsement, English as a Second Language (ESL) endorsement, or Bilingual endorsement (one year to complete this requirement, SEI endorsement required at time of hire).
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Appropriately certified/licensed.
For Arizona applicants: a current Arizona Department of Education Professional Certificate, (i.e. Teacher, Administrator, Counselor, Speech Pathologist) or valid license (i.e. PT, OT), current IVP fingerprint clearance card and unofficial transcripts.
For Out of State applicants: a current professional certificate (teacher, counselor, other) or appropriate license for your state, as well as unofficial transcripts.
Candidate must meet & show proof of being appropriately certified, before new hire appointment & beginning job assignment.
Official transcripts & employment verifications required at time of hire for proper salary placement.

Plans instruction from the Arizona State Standards to meet classroom and student-based objectives.
Assesses students’ skills to determine proficiency and classroom supports.
States objectives compatible with department/grade/school goals in performance outcomes, including lesson plans; documents procedures to achieve outcomes.
