About The Position

This is a 1.0 FTE, Non Continuing Contract position for a Math Teacher at Wenatchee High School, specifically for the 2nd Semester Only. The role involves teaching multiple math subjects, planning and implementing classroom instruction consistent with curriculum, reporting pupil progress to parents, supporting in-service education programs, and attending required meetings and conferences. Other related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Valid Washington state certification with appropriate endorsement(s).
• Ability to instruct all levels of math.
• Evidence of exemplary human relation skills.
• Evidence of exemplary organizational and planning skills.
• Evidence of the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work as a team player and understand the needs of high school aged students.
• Attendance and punctuality are important functions of this position.
• Requires prolonged sitting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience teaching math to high school students is preferred.
• Experience using Agile Minds Intensified Algebra preferred.
• Bilingual/blliterate (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Trained in sheltered techniques for ELL students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ability to teach multiple math subjects.
• Plan, implement and evaluate classroom instruction consistent with building and district curriculum.
• Report pupil progress to parents.
• Support programs and building/district in-service education programs.
• Attend building/district meetings and conferences as required.
• Other related duties as assigned.
