As a tutor serving students in Easton and Newtown, Connecticut, you’ll have the opportunity to provide personalized instruction that makes learning engaging, meaningful, and effective.
Requirements
- Hold a current, valid registration with the Connecticut State Department of Education.
- Be a qualified teacher in the United States or in the process of becoming one.
- Be a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education.
- Have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
- Have strong subject-matter expertise in Math and/or Science and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Responsibilities
- Empower students with academic support based on the Connecticut curriculum.
- Provide personalized Math and Science instruction tailored to each student’s unique learning needs.
- Develop customized learning plans that help students truly understand the material—not just memorize it.
- Offer remedial support and enrichment opportunities for students who need additional assistance or are ready for an academic challenge.
- Help students develop strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and study skills.
- Build students’ confidence and foster a genuine love of learning.
- Collaborate with parents to keep them informed about student progress, challenges, and successes.
