About The Position
Brightmont Academy is hiring a part-time Math & Science Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1–12. Teachers tailor lessons to each student's needs and learning style and use a gradual-release approach to build confidence and academic mastery. The role is presented as a flexible-schedule opportunity and does not require lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading outside instruction. Professional development opportunities are available. Pay is $22–$24 per hour.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area, such as math, chemistry, physics, engineering, or biology.
- Patience and empathy, with a commitment to supporting students with different learning needs.
- Genuine passion for teaching and sharing subject knowledge.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints in Arizona or Washington, where applicable, and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Teaching certification; it is not required.
- Advanced degree in the relevant subject area.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
