About The Position

Belmont University is seeking student tutors for the Math Lab. This is a student employee position where tutors will work up to 10 hours per week per semester. The role involves providing math tutoring services, keeping accurate records of sessions, and promoting the vision and mission of the Belmont Learning Centers. The university is dedicated to the health and well-being of all its students, faculty, and staff, and operates as a tobacco-free campus.

Requirements

Applicants must be currently enrolled at Belmont University.
Applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA from Belmont University and a 3.5 GPA as it pertains to Math courses.
Applicant must have completed at least one full semester at Belmont University.
Strong background in Math.
Awareness of personal study methods.
Strong interpersonal skills a must.
Applicants must be able to adapt to the different learning styles of the Belmont student base.

Nice To Haves

Completion of courses up to Calculus 2 preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Tutor up to 10 hours/ week per semester
Keep an accurate record of tutoring sessions and student visits.
Abide by all relevant University and/or departmental procedures and policies.
Provide math tutoring services for Belmont students.
Light office work.
Promote the vision and mission of the Belmont Learning Centers in class visits and small events.
Other duties as assigned.
