About The Position

All Hinds Community College employees must commit to the Caring Campus approach to student engagement and daily apply these general behavioral objectives: listen to student questions and concerns with a positive attitude and make meaningful connections with students. Provide subject specific tutoring services to students both face to face and/or virtually. Content knowledge should include PreCollege Algebra through Calculus 1.

Requirements

• Minimum of an Associate of Arts Degree (or equivalent credit hours in subject matter)
• Content knowledge should include PreCollege Algebra through Calculus 1

Responsibilities

• Provide subject specific tutoring services to students both face to face and/or virtually.
• Maintain knowledge of diversity-related issues, legislation, and best practices.
