About The Position

Williston Central School (WCS) is seeking a 0.5 FTE, one-year Math Interventionist for the 2026–2027 school year to support students in grades 5–8. The position delivers targeted mathematics instruction, collaborates with educators, and helps develop instructional systems that address diverse student needs. The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package based on qualifications, education, and experience. Requirements

Current, valid Vermont Professional Educator's License in Mathematics or Middle Level (Grades 5–8).
Proven expertise in building strong, positive relationships with middle-level students.
Deep familiarity with the Common Core Math Standards, Math Practice Standards, and math learning progressions.
Experience with current, evidence-based math instructional practices.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with a wide variety of educators.
Exceptional flexibility, organization, initiative, and ability to self-direct work as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide small-group instruction based on grade-level curriculum units and target gaps in math skills and concepts.
Deliver push-in support in general education math classrooms.
Collaborate regularly with math teachers to tailor support to individual student needs.
Partner with CVSD Math Learning Facilitators and peer math interventionists to develop effective instructional practices and systems.
Collect, interpret, and use student data to guide targeted instruction and monitor progress.
