About The Position
The University of Arkansas System is seeking a Math Instructor for Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA). PCCUA is a multi-campus, two-year college serving Eastern Arkansas with academic, occupational/technical, and continuing education programs. The instructor will teach courses in developmental and college mathematics, following the departmental curriculum while maintaining a learner-centered approach to mathematics education.
Requirements
- Experience integrating technology into instruction is required.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree in mathematics from an accredited institution preferred.
- Prior teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting preferred.
- The ability and willingness to teach a wide variety of classes
- The ability to work and interact effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in developmental and college mathematics, following the departmental curriculum while maintaining a learner-centered approach to mathematics education
- Maintain accurate student records
- Participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff
- Contribute to department and college efforts to enhance student success
- Perform other related responsibilities as required
