About The Position

Tri-County Technical College is seeking dedicated professionals for a Math Instructor position. This role involves developing and delivering engaging math courses, providing academic support, and contributing to curriculum development. The instructor will collaborate with academic divisions to enhance courses supporting the college's degree, diploma, and certificate programs. This position requires face-to-face instruction at the Pendleton location and is expected to begin in Summer 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver engaging math courses for a diverse student body.
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement to meet the needs of evolving programs.
  • Collaborate with other academic divisions to design, revise, and enhance curriculum for 2-year degree, diploma, and certificate programs.
  • Engage with 2-year programs and actively participate in their growth and enhancement.
  • Contribute to the development of certificate programs.
  • Establish new internal partnerships for the Math faculty and curriculum.
  • Teach assigned courses using systematically planned and delivered instruction.
  • Review, evaluate, and revise course objectives, instructional materials, and course syllabi on a continuing basis.
  • Design new courses as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all accrediting guidelines.
  • Serve as academic advisor to students and participate in student recruitment and development.
  • Maintain records of student academic progress and attendance, evaluate level of achievement, and assign grades.
  • Participate in professional development activities to improve teaching competence and stay current in the teaching field.
  • Serve on College committees and participate in recruiting and marketing activities.
  • Perform other duties as required by the department head.
