About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Part-Time Math Instructor to teach advanced students in a collaborative classroom setting. The role involves using company-created curriculum to lead small classes, engage students in learning, manage classrooms of up to 16 students, grade tests, provide feedback, and build relationships with students and families. The goal is to inspire a love for learning and critical thinking in mathematics.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Strong content knowledge in math.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
Minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.
Must be located in Lexington/Waltham, MA or the surrounding area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Unable to offer sponsorship, including STEM-OPT and H-1B.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred.
Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
