About The Position
AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Part-Time Math Instructor to teach engaging Algebra classes to advanced students. The role involves using company-created curriculum to lead small classes, foster student engagement, manage classrooms of up to 16 students, grade tests, provide feedback, and build relationships with students and families. The goal is to inspire a love for learning and critical thinking in mathematics.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Strong content knowledge in math.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
- Must be able to commute to our Lexington Campus (1088 Lexington St. Waltham, MA. 02451).
Nice To Haves
- A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred.
- Classroom teaching experience at the K-12 level is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Teach company-created curriculum and materials designed for advanced students to lead small classes in math.
- Actively involve students in each class or student-led learning.
