Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer - Per Diem
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced OB/MFM Sonographer to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine department in an on-call/per diem capacity. The ideal candidate must be ARDMS registered in OB with a passion for high-risk perinatology and have full knowledge of the indications, contraindications, and hazards associated with procedures. Vancouver Clinic provides care across a wide range of medical decisions, including care and opinions on vaccinations, reproductive health, end-of-life decision-making, and gender-affirming treatment. Requirements
- Graduate of an ARDMS accredited school of ultrasound.
- ARDMS registered in OB required.
- Endovaginal scanning skills required.
- Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas.
Nice To Haves
- Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification preferred.
- 4-5 years of experience in OB sonography preferred
- Experienced in high risk OB ultrasounds a bonus
- Previous experience in an outpatient medical or Perinatology Clinic strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide diagnostic studies, treatment and support to high-risk obstetric patients by performing specific diagnostic tests as ordered by providers
- Assure accuracy of test results, reports and equipment by having a thorough understanding of tests and techniques.
- Have ability to perform variety of OB procedures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy.
