About The Position

We are seeking an experienced OB/MFM Sonographer to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine department in an on-call/per diem capacity. The ideal candidate must be ARDMS registered in OB with a passion in high-risk perinatology, and have full knowledge of the indications, contraindications, and hazards associated with procedures. This role provides diagnostic studies, treatment and support to high-risk obstetric patients by performing specific diagnostic tests as ordered by providers. The sonographer will assure accuracy of test results, reports and equipment by having a thorough understanding of tests and techniques, and will perform a variety of OB procedures. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required, along with the ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy.

Requirements

Graduate of an ARDMS accredited school of ultrasound
ARDMS registered in OB required
Endovaginal scanning skills required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy
Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas

Nice To Haves

Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification preferred
4-5 years of experience in OB sonography preferred
Experienced in high risk OB ultrasounds a bonus
Previous experience in an outpatient medical or Perinatology Clinic strongly preferred
