About The Position

Vancouver Clinic is seeking an experienced OB/MFM Sonographer to join its Maternal Fetal Medicine department in an on-call/per diem capacity at the Salmon Creek location. The ideal candidate must be ARDMS registered in OB with a passion for high-risk perinatology and possess full knowledge of the indications, contraindications, and hazards associated with procedures. The role involves providing diagnostic studies, treatment, and support to high-risk obstetric patients by performing specific diagnostic tests as ordered by providers. Responsibilities also include ensuring the accuracy of test results, reports, and equipment through a thorough understanding of tests and techniques, and performing a variety of OB procedures. The position requires excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy. Requirements

  • Graduate of an ARDMS accredited school of ultrasound
  • ARDMS registered in OB required
  • Full knowledge of the indications, contraindications, and hazards associated with procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy
  • Endovaginal scanning skills required
  • Ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas

Nice To Haves

  • Nuchal Translucency (NT) certification preferred
  • 4-5 years of experience in OB sonography preferred
  • Experienced in high risk OB ultrasounds a bonus
  • Previous experience in an outpatient medical or Perinatology Clinic strongly preferred

Responsibilities
