About The Position

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health at the University of Minnesota is recruiting an additional faculty member to join their Maternal-Fetal Medicine program. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a team of 14 MFM colleagues who are committed to patient-centered clinical care. The role involves actively contributing to instructing medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners. Participants will engage in ongoing MFM quality/safety metrics and other scholarly contributions, with opportunities to develop or participate in clinical and/or basic science research studies. The position offers protected time with 3.5 clinical days per week (annual average) and no call when not on service. There is no in-house call when on service, with inpatient service coverage approximately 5-6 weeks per year. The Maternal-Fetal Medicine Center is located on the University of Minnesota Medical Center Campus, with 3 outreach sites in the greater Twin Cities. The department features a fully integrated Ultrasound Unit and reporting system. The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women’s Health has a 131-year history of service and is dedicated to innovative approaches to women's health, with members serving as leaders in global health, research, clinical operations, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine is the largest academic program in the upper Midwest, focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care for patients with high-risk pregnancies and providing an immersive learning experience. Through outreach clinics and telemedicine, the division serves patients across the region.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME OB/GYN residency and Maternal-Fetal medicine fellowship-training program.
  • ABOG board eligible/certified.
  • Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years' experience in an academic practice is preferred.
  • Experience with CVS and/or fetal procedures is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
