About The Position

The Materials Technician performs warehouse and storeroom tasks at Texas Health Fort Worth, including receiving, stocking, processing delivery documents, managing inventory, and delivering supplies. The role also provides customer service to hospital departments by responding to questions and requests and helping address routine supply issues. The schedule is Friday through Monday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Basic computer, reading, and writing skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to meet time standards required by the position.
Ability to handle moderately difficult requests by performing necessary research.

Nice To Haves

One year of relevant materials management experience preferred.
One year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately receive goods and/or services into the appropriate system.
Stock shelves and inventory items daily with incoming goods.
Deliver non-stock items to requesting departments in a timely manner.
Pull and deliver daily inventory orders and backorder releases to requesting departments.
Count and refill daily par-level areas.
Assist with returning items to vendors and shipping repairs.
Deliver items on the same day an order arrives.
Account for overnight or expedited requests and deliver them to the requesting area as quickly as possible.
Answer phones, return calls and pages, and assist departments with questions, concerns, and special requests.
Work with clinical areas to review par levels and other routine supply issues.
Document supplies requested and issued as walk-ins, including logging patient IDs when items are chargeable.
Perform other job duties as assigned by management.
