About The Position

The Materials Technician performs warehouse and storeroom tasks at Texas Health Fort Worth, including receiving, stocking, inventory support, delivery of supplies, and processing returns and repair shipments. The role also provides customer service to departments by responding to questions and requests, coordinating routine supply issues, and documenting walk-in supply requests. The position is based at Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104, and works Monday through Friday from 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to meet time standards required by the position.
Basic computer, reading, and writing skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle moderately difficult requests by performing necessary research.

Nice To Haves

One year of relevant materials management experience preferred.
One year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Accurately receive appropriate goods and services into the appropriate system.
Stock shelves and inventory items daily with incoming goods.
Deliver non-stock items to the requesting department in a timely manner.
Pull and deliver daily inventory orders and backorder releases to the requesting department.
Count and refill daily par-level areas.
Assist with returning items to vendors and shipping repairs.
Deliver items on the same day the order arrives.
Account for overnight or expedited requests and deliver them to the requesting area as quickly as possible.
Answer phones, return calls and pagers, and assist departments with questions, concerns, and special requests.
Work with clinical areas to review par levels or other routine supply issues.
Document supplies requested and issued as walk-ins, including logging patient ID when chargeable.
Perform other job duties as assigned by management.
