Materials Technician - Full-Time, Days

About The Position

The Materials Technician is responsible for performing various warehouse/storeroom tasks, including receiving, stocking, and managing inventory. This role also involves delivering items, assisting with returns and shipments, and handling customer service inquiries related to supplies. The technician will work with clinical areas to manage par levels and document supply requests. This is a full-time position with a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required
One year of relevant materials management experience preferred
One year customer service experience preferred
Ability to meet time standards required by position.
Basic computer, reading and writing skills.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle moderately difficult requests by performing necessary research.

Responsibilities

Performs various Warehouse/Storeroom tasks including, receiving, stocking, filing of delivery paperwork/documents.
Ensures appropriate goods and/or services are accurately received into the appropriate system.
Stocks shelves/inventory items daily with incoming goods.
Delivers non-stock items to the requesting department on a timely basis.
Pulls and delivers daily inventory orders and backorder releases to the requesting department.
Counts and refills daily par-level areas.
Assists with returning items to the vendor and with the shipment of repairs.
Delivers items on the same day the order arrives.
Accounts for and delivers all overnight or expedited requests to the requesting area as quickly as possible.
Answers the phone, returns calls, pagers and assists departments with questions, concerns and special requests.
Works with clinical areas to review par levels or other routine supply issues.
Documents any supplies that are requested and issued as ‘walk-ins’ including logging the patient ID if chargeable.
Performs other job duties as assigned by management.
