About The Position

This job contributes to and supports the company's development and manufacturing efforts to create high value therapeutics to address unmet medical needs. Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks. Works on assignments that are moderately difficult, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Works on assignments with minimal supervision relevant to materials management. Provides shipping and receiving support or parts or products. Responsible for physical and administrative tasks such as identifying materials or spare parts needed, receiving, storing and issuing material or spare parts. Creates and maintains detailed and accurate records of all transactions and updates inventory records for both manual and electronic records. Creates and updates SOPs and ensure compliance with regulations and procedures including FDA and safety regulatory. Performs receiving, initial inspection and storage for GMP and non-GMP materials under SOP Control. May create Purchase Orders and work with Purchasing in the buying process. Receives, inspects, unpacks items and verifies receipts against purchase orders. Update data in ERP. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, and Purchasing. Responsible for preparation of products and documentation for shipments of finished goods. Performs cleaning activities associated with maintaining the warehouse. Delivers materials to end users. Uses materials handling equipment including forklift for materials movement.

Requirements

  • Requires a minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent. Equivalent experience may be accepted.
  • A minimum of 4 years industry experience is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years warehouse or manufacturing experience is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working in the Pharmaceutical or Biotechnology industry is required.
  • Working knowledge of FDA and GMP requirements is required.
  • Experience in computer-based systems including MRP is required.
  • Strong attention to detail regarding documentation is required.
  • Good communication skills both oral and written are required.
  • Must be able to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, and storing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • May perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in the distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received and shipped goods and process items that do not conform.
  • Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.
  • Prepares and maintains records.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment.
  • May examine stocks and distribute materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
