About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Materials Supervisor. This role is based out of Greenwood, SC. This is a leadership position managing all Inventory Control operations and personnel. The role will oversee and direct activities involving the receipt, inspection, and accountability of incoming materials in accordance with established requirements.

Requirements

  • The ability to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship is required.
  • High School Diploma with 10 years of supervision experience in a supply chain function or Bachelor’s degree and three years of supervision experience in a supply chain function.
  • Leadership and sense of urgency: ability to drive positive results in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated sound decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical thinking skills, intellectual rigor and curiosity; problem-solving capability
  • Data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and react quickly under pressure
  • Advanced computer knowledge with MS Office Applications

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, materials, supply chain, inventory control, or operations/logistics is preferred
  • Six Sigma Greenbelt certification
  • Continuous Improvement and Lean manufacturing background
  • SAP Experience

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Material Handling personnel.
  • Manage all aspects of inventory control.
  • Establish and maintain Storeroom processes.
  • Leverage 5-S to optimize space utilization, organization, and efficiency in the Storeroom.
  • Execute ELSS – Pull for the Plant
  • Manage and maintain an effective Cycle Counting program and drive root-cause issue resolution.
  • Manage slow moving, excess, and obsolete inventories.
  • Implement new product industrialization and non-conforming short and long term, material solutions.
  • Coordinate process between Front-End Operations and Material Planners.
  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative team environment within the department and cross-functionally.
  • Ensure safe work practices within the department.
  • Communicate with suppliers on order and delivery requirements as needed.
